Roaring 20s and all that Jazz Festival

22 January 2016 | Events in the area

Step back in time and kick up your heels as you revel in the fashion, music and romance of the 1920s. Throughout the month of February, the NSW Blue Mountains will relive this golden era with the Roaring 20’s and all that Jazz Festival.

The 1920s was a defining era in the Blue Mountains, which saw the end of the mining era and the birth of the tourism industry. Indeed, it is the art deco style of the 1920s that dominates the architecture of the street-facades, iconic guesthouses and beautiful gardens of the Blue Mountains.

The Festival program features a range of events at iconic venues such as the newly renovated Hydro Majestic Hotel and the Carrington Hotel.

Program highlights include:

  • The Charleston Challenge
  • The Majestic Long Lunch
  • The Roaring 20s Gangster Gaming Charity Night and
  • The Great Deco Ball.

In addition there are a plethora of classic high teas, film screenings, jazz performances, vintage couture fashion parades, steam train rides, historical walks and much more. Check out the Festival Program.
